The Mima Mounds, near Olympia, WA remain a beautiful mystery. Many theories have been made to explain the formation of this landscape, but none has been proven. Going on for acres, their uniformity is other-worldly. They aren't any match to the snow-capped mountains, but the gentle rolling landscape they create is pretty cool.
Wow! I had never heard of these. They are fantastic.
